THESE YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS ARE MAKING MOVES! 🚨

💡 Big ideas. Real experiences. Real businesses.
Our CEO students are stepping outside the classroom and into the real world—and this week was packed with opportunities to learn from entrepreneurs, business leaders, and community professionals! They continue to take BIG steps towards becoming the GREAT entrepreneurs of tomorrow!

💼 LEARNING FROM THOSE WHO HAVE DONE IT

Our students had the opportunity to learn from Ricky Powell, CEO of the Monroeville Area YMCA and owner/entrepreneur of Powell Power Washing and Powell Farms, and Mike Colquett, Director of the Monroeville-Monroe County Economic Development Authority and former owner/entrepreneur of Colquette Insurance Agency, Inc.

Ricky Powell and Mike Colquett shared valuable lessons on financial planning, marketing, entrepreneurship, and raising startup funding. Their insight is helping our students prepare to turn their ideas into real businesses!

🌐 INSIDE DRAGONFLY INTERNET

Our CEO students also visited Dragonfly Internet, where Kelsi Brown, Sales Manager; Luke McKinley, Technical Supervisor; and Tia Watson-Hires, Office Manager, shared how this local fixed-wireless internet company got its start in Monroeville.

Students learned about the company’s services, technology, and impact on our community. They were especially excited to learn about Dragonfly Internet’s efforts to bring reliable connectivity to underserved and rural areas throughout Monroe County.

🚑 FROM BUSINESS TO EMERGENCY RESPONSE

The students also received a hands-on learning experience at Enterprise Rescue, Inc.

Paramedic Rondo Fountain welcomed the students inside an ambulance and introduced them to the medical equipment used during emergencies. He explained how emergency responders provide urgent pre-hospital care, stabilize patients, ensure their safety, and transport those who are ill or injured to medical facilities.

🌟 THIS IS WHAT HANDS-ON LEARNING LOOKS LIKE!

From developing business plans and learning about startup funding to exploring local businesses and experiencing emergency medical services firsthand, our CEO students are gaining knowledge that goes far beyond the classroom.

We are SO PROUD of the growth, curiosity, confidence, and entrepreneurial spirit these students are demonstrating!

A HUGE thank-you to the entrepreneurs, businesses, and community leaders who continue to pour their time, experience, and wisdom into our future business leaders. ❤️

🚀 Their journey is just beginning—and we can’t wait to see where their ideas take them!

📲 FOLLOW ALONG EACH WEEK as our CEO students continue to learn, create, connect, and prepare to launch their very own business ventures!
